Student Loans

Have you been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic?  We are keeping up with the financial resources available for people suffering financially during this difficult time.  If you have student loans that are in default, you might be able to get them out of default status using the forbearance offered by the CARES Act.

Outside of pandemic relief, most people are aware of the conventional wisdom that bankruptcy cannot discharge student loans.  That is often true, but there are circumstances in which at least a part of your student loans might be able to be discharged in bankruptcy, so it is worthwhile to have an experienced bankruptcy attorney look into your particular situation to see if you might be eligible for relief.

Even in the cases when there is no possibility of discharging student loans, the elimination of other debt often makes the student loan payments manageable going forward.
